A priority for the church was to make the building more energy
efficient. We met with the building vision committee to develop a design
for an addition to the existing structure that addressed their facility
needs, their operating and maintenance needs, site planning and growth
needs. The new plan provides a unified campus experience and creates
three new classrooms in an addition onto the existing building. Also
included are an elevator, improved handicap accessibility overall,
improved choir space and additional meeting spaces.
St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church
St. Bartholomew”s Episcopal Church in Yarmouth sits on a lovely wooded site. Built 25 years ago the simple and graceful timber-frame church serves a growing congregation. SSA was hired to develop a comprehensive plan for the building and grounds that addressed current maintenance needs, changes to the existing structure to accommodate current and future program needs, and a sustainable approach to the facilities, grounds, and burial gardens.
